Description
In this Co-op opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn to develop advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end module building blocks, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts within Skyworks. Not only you will get to know how things work in industry, but you will also accumulate advanced technical knowledge and skills, gain valuable experience as well as explore full-time job opportunities at Skyworks. Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
• Work with experienced engineers to design/develop RFIC for Multi-chip modules
• Design RF switch, attenuator, and couplers blocks
• Run simulations using design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and ADS
• Participate and present in design reviews
• Perform lab testing using standard RF test equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve design or technical issues
• Collaborate with other engineers and technicians
• Contribute directly on development of Skyworks product
Required Experience and Skills
• Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD program
• Commitment to work onsite for 6 months (June/July - December 2027)
• Strong desire to learn, grow and make an impact
• Strong career interest in RF/microwave engineering and RFIC design
• Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
• Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook
• Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, ADS, SPICE is highly preferred
• Hands-on experience in lab using network analyzer and other RF instruments is highly preferred
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
