Elior Corporate

Location: 4920 Westway Park Blvd., Houston, TX 77041

The Role at a Glance

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our technology team and play an important role in a global IT transformation initiative.

This is an opportunity for an early-career software engineer who has a solid technical foundation and is ready to grow. You don’t need to be an expert in every technology we use. We’re looking for someone who can contribute hands‑on, learn quickly, ask thoughtful questions, and build strong working relationships with technical and business partners.

You’ll work closely with software engineers and technology teams in both the U.S. and Paris, helping develop and modernize applications that support our business. Because this is a highly collaborative global project, communication, reliability, adaptability, and the ability to build trust across teams will be just as important as your technical skills.

This role includes approximately monthly travel to Paris, France, with our Paris‑based engineering partners also traveling regularly to Houston for onsite collaboration and training for the first few months.

Where You’ll Be Working

This position is based in Houston, TX follows a hybrid work schedule of Mon – Thur in office and remote on Fridays.

Houston Corporate Office:
4920 Westway Park Blvd., Houston, TX 77041

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop, test, maintain, and enhance web and enterprise applications using modern development technologies.
  • Work across both front-end and back-end development as part of a collaborative engineering team.
  • Partner closely with software engineers in the U.S. and Paris on application development and modernization initiatives.
  • Participate in a global IT transformation project focused on modernizing technology, applications, and development practices.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into practical technical solutions with guidance from senior engineers and technical leaders.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
  • Assist with integrations between applications, databases, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
  • Support cloud‑based application development and deployment within Microsoft Azure.
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes and development automation.
  • Help troubleshoot application issues and participate in root cause analysis.
  • Learn existing systems and business processes while helping identify opportunities to improve and modernize them.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Communicate project updates, technical challenges, and potential solutions clearly to both technical and non‑technical partners.
  • Travel to Paris approximately once per month to collaborate directly with our global technology team.
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who is motivated to continue developing their skills. You may not have worked extensively with every technology in our environment, but you should be comfortable learning new tools and concepts.

Technical foundation:
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience, ideally within a .NET environment.
  • Experience with C# and .NET development.
  • Exposure to or experience with Angular or another modern front‑end framework.
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with object‑oriented programming and software development principles.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure or another cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with APIs, application integrations, version control, and CI/CD concepts.
  • Exposure to Entity Framework, microservices, containerization, or modern application architecture is helpful but not required.
Just as important, you are someone who:
  • Communicates confidently and clearly, even when working through something new.
  • Builds trust and follows through on commitments.
  • Is comfortable asking questions and seeking guidance rather than pretending to have all the answers.
  • Learns quickly and is motivated to expand your technical capabilities.
  • Takes ownership of your work and can be relied upon to see tasks through.
  • Is adaptable and comfortable working in an environment undergoing significant change.
  • Collaborates well with people from different teams, backgrounds, and cultures.
  • Can receive feedback, apply it, and continue improving.
  • Is willing and able to travel internationally approximately once per month.
  • Is excited by the opportunity to work closely with an international technology team and grow alongside a major transformation initiative.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
  • Professional experience with C#/.NET strongly preferred.
  • Experience or exposure to Angular and Microsoft Azure preferred.
  • Experience working in a collaborative development environment.
  • AI/ML experience is a plus but is not required.
Why You’ll Love This Role

Global exposure: Work directly with technology teams in the U.S. and Paris while contributing to a major international transformation initiative.
