This role provides leadership, technical guidance, and delivery accountability while fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, continuous improvement, and strong execution. The Manager, Software Development will balance hands-on technical oversight with people leadership, ensuring the team is aligned to business priorities, agile delivery practices, and long-term technology strategy.

What does a Manager, Software Developmentย do at GAINSCO?

  • Lead agile software development teams through sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and delivery execution.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop software developers through regular feedback, goal setting, and professional development.
  • Provide technical guidance on solution design, code quality, architecture alignment, security standards, and development best practices.
  • Identify and remove blockers, resolve conflicts, and help teams stay focused on timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, executives, and IT leaders to communicate progress, risks, priorities, and outcomes.
  • Build a team culture focused on accountability, inclusion, collaboration, innovation, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

What is required?

Education:
