As a Sr. SDE, you'll drive the development of next-generation communication features powered by advanced AI technologies, including AI Agents and Real-time AI. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and data science, to design and deliver innovative solutions that leverage these AI technologies to enable seamless, intelligent communication experiences. You'll also lead the integration of these advanced AI systems into Alexa's core capabilities, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
Key job responsibilities
- Influence product and technology strategy by helping define the product features, refine system architecture, and spearhead Agentic AI and LLM best practices that enable a quality product.
- Build agentic APIs to deliver a low latency, low cost, highly reliable, and high scalable cloud services and device software solutions.
- Drive and lead software design, development standards, team processes and code reviews.
- Optimize software libraries for low latency, CPU and memory footprint.
- Deliver high-quality software through working in a dynamic, team-focused Agile/Scrum environment
- Contributing to the professional development of colleagues, improving their technical knowledge and engineering practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
