POSITION SUMMARY
The Software Development Engineer will be part of our Underwriting Technology system. This team member will work under the direction of other Staff and Senior Software Development Engineers to architect, design, build, and deliver solutions that drive our roadmap that in turns drives our business and technology strategy for a highly reliable, scalable, and secure solutions supporting CVS Health's Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) business. The position is an individual contributor role. This position will be a hands on developer role.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 2+ years of experience in systems analysis and application program development
  • At least oneyear of development experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Angular, Kotlin
  • 1+ year of experience with Agile software development
  • 1+ year experience in building Enterprise solutions and technical solutions
  • 1+ year of experience on Cloud Technologies (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
  • 1+ year experience using AI LLM models such as Gemina, Claude
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Masters' Degree Preferred
  • The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
  • 1+ years of experience working across research and engineering
  • 1+ years of experiencewith AI/generative AIsolutions and technologies
  • 1+ years of experience in delivering software in a large-scale environment with reliability and resilience concepts (multi-region, multi-cloud, containerization, etc.)
  • 1+ years of experience working as full stack developer
  • Experience working with distributed teams, working across multiple time zones and geographies.
  • Experience in the health and wellness domain
  • Experience developingcolleague anduser-facing features and/or apps.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

The typical pay range for this role is:

$72,100.00 - $144,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
