Job description

This is a remote position for candidates located in California.

Position Overview
The Learning and Development Coordinator is a critical member of the Aveanna team. The mission of the Learning and Development department is to transform business systems and lead the way in business process improvement efforts, which includes implementation of all systems and processes. The Learning and Development Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring projects (change initiatives) meet objectives by increasing adoption and usage. This person will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The Learning and Development Coordinator will work closely with Technology and Operation leaders, key business stakeholder, and People Services business partners to drive faster adoption, greater utilization and higher proficiency on the changes in the organization to achieve desired business results.

Essential Job Functions

Develop short term and long term communications work plans to support the design, development and delivery of internal communications to inform Aveanna at all stages of the project and to facilitate change adoption.
Create, edit and approve action plans, messages and materials (including job aids, training guides and presentations) supporting Aveanna’s change management goals.
Work with all parties to resolve change related scheduling conflicts according to established practices to ensure participation.
Provide assistance in the coordination and control efforts of large and complex projects and initiatives.
Employ multiple channels to effectively communicate change to the organization.
Assist in duties associated with project coordination.

Requirements

Bilingual (oral, written) English/Spanish
High School Diploma and Equivalent
Two (2) years of professional experience in print OR media, marketing or two (2) years of other relevant professional experience.
Able to present ideas to a large group
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to interact with large groups and individuals at all work levels.
Demonstrated sensitivity to, and desire to promote, diversity.
A record showing commitment to customer service and the application of appropriate flexibility in response to issues and opposing points of view.

Preferences

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, education or other relevant field.
Experience developing internal communications for in a higher education environment.
Experience in project management or communication plan development.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and software applications.
Experience creating and delivering presentations to large audiences.
Technical and functional skills with MS SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook. MS Word, PPT.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of 25 pounds
Prolonged sitting, walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting
Must be able to sit and climb stairs
Must have visual and hearing acuity
Must have strong sense of smell and touch
Environment

Performs duties in an office environment during agency operating hours
Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
