Position Summary:
The Fund Development Coordinator is responsible for the development, administration, implementation and maintenance of donor programs for Chinese Hospital. The position involves helping to oversee the capital campaign and fundraising for the Hospital foundation. The coordinator will collect data, measure, evaluate and report on donor program effectiveness. The coordinator will also help to improve, expand and develop referral programs and identify new potential donors in the community to raise funding towards of the capital campaign goal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works on the capital campaign The components of such a plan will include major, individual gifts program, foundation and corporate gifts, government grants and special events.
  • Implements comprehensive donor cultivation and stewardship programs designed to meet stated fundraising
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit prospective and new donors as
  • Help to coordinate the Hospital foundation's annual signature events (golf tournament, spring fling, radiation, etc)
  • Directing the work of staff and volunteers as needed, including establishing expectations, performance goals and standards.
  • Developing and managing all aspects of a grant program, including public and private foundations, corporation and government grants
  • Coordinating marketing and public relations aspects of the capital campaign including the publication of the Foundation newsletter and other campaign materials
  • Representing the organization in external affairs and serving as a spokesperson coordinator for the Hospital
  • Maintains a system of record keeping for departmental data, to include monthly donation summary report
  • Manages donor management software programs, Raiser's edge.
  • Evaluates programs and activities. Follows gift processing procedures, and issues timely thank you letters and gift acknowledgements
  • Manage internal and external correspondence, responding in-person, by email and phone in a timely, accurate and appropriate
  • Maintain departmental equipment, supplies and materials.
  • Manages fiscal resources under the guidance of his/her Director with an ongoing awareness of health care policies and economics.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a filled development role with demonstrated proficiency managing donor programs and fundraising activities with a proven record of success.
  • Experience working in the fund raising field, including familiarity with regulations related to working in hospital/healthcare
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Chinese with an understanding of the Chinese community and culture.
  • Proficiency with computer and web-based programs, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation and design
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including timely and effective correspondence, and excellent public speaking and group facilitation skills.
  • Clear and effective writing and presentation skills for public relations to external organizations.
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and project management skills, including organization, time management, priority setting, conflict resolution, resourcefulness, and has personal accountability.
  • Excellent professional, interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated and result oriented
    • Excellent organization skills, detail and deadline oriented, problem solving skills and the ability to work well under the pressure
    • Knowledge of typical business correspondence
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)' at a proficient level
    • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English (Fluent), Mandarin (Fluent)

Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, staff is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and/or listen. He/she uses his/her hands to do computer work, write reports, do equipment set-up/cleaning/storage, clerical support, etc. He/she will be using the phone frequently. Good vision is needed to be able to read schedules, enter accurate data, etc. He/she must have good general health and demonstrate emotional stability so as to carry out the above-enumerated duties.
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Use proper body mechanics when handling equipment
  • Standing, walking and moving 50% of the day

Compliance Requirements
Complies with Chinese Hospital Compliance Handbook including Code of Ethics and all statutes, regulations, guidelines applicable to federal and state programs. Responsibilities include, following the guidelines and reporting suspected violations of any statute, regulations, agreements or guidelines applicable to all healthcare programs.
Base Pay Scale
Starting at $27.89-$41.80 hourly . The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
