About the Role
As an IT Intern, you will learn the core principles and fundamentals of Information Technology within Kohl's and contribute to key work to drive business outcomes and deliverables forward.

  • Solve and create data models and algorithms from high volumes of data to be used in enterprise applications

Product Design Intern
  • Support Product Designer work by assisting with research, testing, visual designs and synthesis of research
  • Participate in Design workshops, Balanced Teams and testing with users and associates both digitally and at stores
  • Present the outcomes of an assigned project at the conclusion of the internship
  • Lead discovery and framing in a defined problem space, arrive at a solution and experiment
  • Learn and drive User Centric Design practices consisting of end user's needs, wants and limitations
  • Develop visual identity systems, data visualizations, visual design and illustrations for feedback and testing

Product Management Intern
  • Define a product vision and strategy
  • Determine the scope for feature additions and enhancements
  • Specify metrics that measure product success
  • Write stories for prioritized features, including success criteria to guide engineering through development
  • Participate in an intern group project where you will present an innovative idea to Kohl's executives

Site Reliability Engineering Intern
  • Follow software lifecycle, driving reliability, observability, and efficiency across product teams within your domain
  • Identify repeated toil and find opportunities for automation
  • Shadow a rotation and learn about responding to production incidents and assist with blameless retros and root-cause analysis (RCAs) to drive a culture of continuous improvements
  • Perform analyses of internal and external data to surface major trends and insights

Software Engineering Intern
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle, including strategy sessions
