About this role:
We are looking for a Plumbing Field Supervisor to oversee plumbing projects, manage teams, and ensure high standards of workmanship. You will coordinate the work of plumbers and apprentices, enforce safety and code compliance, handle project timelines, resolve on-site issues, and communicate with clients. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and plumbing expertise are essential for successful project management and team direction.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of plumbers and apprentices on job sites
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and local plumbing codes
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control
  • Manage project timelines and ensure tasks are completed on schedule
  • Resolve on-site issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise
  • Communicate with clients to address their needs, concerns, and provide updates
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets all specifications and standards
  • Coordinate with other trades and contractors on site
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress
  • Provide training and guidance to team members, fostering professional development
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial systems.
  • Licensing: Active and valid Journeyman Plumbing License. Additional certifications such as backflow prevention, and gas piping are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
  • Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems.
  • Familiarity with local and state plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Experience with various tools and equipment, such as pipe cutters, threaders, and soldering tools.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose complex plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and supervisors.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and handling tools for extended periods.
  • Safety-Oriented: In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Customer Service: Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, with a focus on professionalism and customer satisfaction.
  • Technology Skills: Basic knowledge of mobile apps and work management software to track tasks and report on job progress.
  • Leadership & Teamwork: Ability to lead apprentices, work well within a team, and coordinate with other trades on larger projects.
  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency calls, as needed.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

The physical requirements of this job include:
  • Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work.
  • Ability to drive.
  • Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces.
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
  • Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
