Job description

Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Receiver to join our Home Centre team on a full-time basis at our location in Wainwright, AB. This position reports to the Customer Service Supervisor.  

What you'll do:

  • Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.

  • Unload, sort, and organize products in designated warehouse or storage areas.

  • Record and update stock information in inventory management systems.

  • Report discrepancies or damaged goods promptly to the appropriate team.

  • Collaborate with the inventory control team to ensure accurate stock levels.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

  • Support other departments as required, including shipping and inventory management.

  • Follow all safety standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis.

  • Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's mission, values, brand and focus on safety.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are: 

  • You have a Grade 12 education or a combination of relevant experience.

  • Experience in a warehouse or receiving role is an asset.

  • Familiarity with inventory management software is an asset.

  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and organizational skills.

  • Able to consistently lift up to 50 pounds daily and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).

  • A strong communicator and team player.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

  • Customer-focused, dependable, and results-driven, with a passion for excellence.

  • A collaborator who values diverse perspectives and teamwork.
