Location: Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location at 740 W. Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308.

This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

Please note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Developer Advisor is responsible for maintaining active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and lead requirements gathering meetings.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Take charge of the change request process and coordinate with other teams as necessary.
  • Develop and own list of final enhancements.
  • Develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare technical and functional specifications from which programs will be written. Perform code and technical design reviews.
  • Ensure unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements.
  • Ensure system testing is completed, and system is implemented according to plan.
  • Assess status and supports data information planning.
  • Coordinate on-call support and ensures effective monitoring of system.
  • Maintain technical development environment. Mentor others and lead multiple or small to medium sized projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in related occupation(s).
  • This position is part of our Wellpoint Federal division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.

Experience Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of experience in related occupation(s) must include:
    • Five (5) years of experience ensuring system is implemented according to plan.
    • Five (5) years of experience coordinating integration activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts.
    • Five (5) years of experience coordinating on-call support.
    • Five (5) years of experience advising software developers with coding activities.
    • Five (5) years of experience ensuring unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements.
    • Five (5) years of experience with developing and defining application scope and objectives, including impact to interfaces.
