Description:

The Applications Developer:

  • Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements applications. Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.
  • Researches, tests, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
  • Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  • Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
  • Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  • Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
  • Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • May act as team leader on projects.
  • Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team.
  • Participates in development of user manuals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree or relevant professional certification can be substituted for 2 years of experience.
  • Must be Full Stack developers proficient in both Front End and Back End programming employing AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Java, and JIRA.
  • Must be proficient in database design (PostgreSQL and NoSQL), database modeling (ER Diagrams), and normalization to support backend development work.
  • Developers must also be familiar with Agile methodologies and automated testing tools.
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian suite of development productivity tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket/Stash, Zephyr) is strongly recommended.
  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
  • Plans and leads major technology assignments.
  • Evaluate performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
  • May supervise others.
  • More than five years of relevant experience.
  • Developers requiring Common Access Cards should possess but must at minimum have the ability to quickly obtain a DoD Secret clearance. "Quickly obtain" is defined a person who has previously held a DoD clearance that has lapsed,
  • A candidate with an active secret or higher clearance from a non-DoD US Government Agency, or a person with an adjudicated NAC, NACI, ANACI, or NACLC background check for public trust positions.
  • Secret Clearance is required.
