Are you a logistics leader with strong communication skills, quick problem-solving skills and a passion for keeping things moving smoothly?

The Logistics Administrator/Specialist will oversee daily supply chain processes and product delivery by tracking and reviewing invoices, shipment status, and delivery route activity.

Essential Functions

  1. Responsible for collecting and reporting weekly driver commissions and supplemental earnings to payroll.
  2. Works with internal Safety Director to ensure ITFTA safety compliance is met.
  3. Schedules and monitors routine vehicle maintenance and safety compliance through digital software.
  4. Collaborates with Human Resources department to coordinate DOT and FMCSA compliance scheduling with Drivers.
  5. Schedules shipments to ensure delivery by promised deadlines.
  6. Receives orders and assigns shipments to appropriate carriers.
  7. Monitors inventory via an enterprise resource planning system or similar control system.
  8. Tracks product flow from origin to delivery via web-based logistics systems and other appropriate methods of monitoring inventory and shipment vehicles.
  9. Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistical data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution.
  10. Assists customer service representatives with order status inquiries and special customer needs.
  11. Communicates with Drivers, customers, and sales team to properly resolve delivery problems.
  12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. While this position is primarily sedentary, the employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, expected to work 45 hours per week. Days and hours can change at the discretion of the Store Manager or Logistics Director; though typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some weekend hours will be necessary, typically in our busier harvesting season (typically March-August from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.).

Travel

This position requires up to 10% travel time

Required Education and Experience

  1. 2+ years of scheduling, dispatch, or related distribution/transportation industry
  2. Proficient in CRM software (HubSpot, OnFleet)
  3. Proficient in Logistics Software
  4. Must be 18 years of age or older.
  5. Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. CDL Experience
  2. Experience with FMCSA and DOT regulations specific to Agricultural shipping laws.
  3. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or similar field.
  4. Experience with turfgrass sod and seed in a retail setting.
  5. Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) strongly preferred but not required.

Hourly Pay Range
$22—$25 USD
