Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to support our Social Security Disability team. This role involves managing cases, communicating with clients, and ensuring all documentation and medical records are properly obtained and submitted.

This is a fast-paced position requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of Social Security Disability clients
  • Prepare and maintain files for initial claims, reconsiderations, hearings, and appeals
  • Communicate with clients regarding case status and updates
  • Assist clients with completing required forms and documentation
  • Request, track, and submit medical records to SSA
  • File applications, appeals, and required forms
  • Maintain accurate records in the case management system
  • Coordinate with attorneys, SSA, and medical providers

 

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred

Experience and skills

  • 1+ year of experience in a law firm or similar environment
  • Experience with Social Security Disability preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software


Work Environment

  • Fully remote position
  • High-volume phone and computer-based work
  • Paperless environment using systems such as Vonage, Docubee, Microsoft Office, and SmartAdvocate


Physical Demands
This position requires extended periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer, and regular communication via phone and email. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching may be required.
