Job description

  • Employee Type Exempt FT
Description

Walk-On's is looking for a creative marketer who thrives at the intersection of sports, culture, food and social media. This is not a traditional marketing coordinator role. It is an opportunity to become the daily voice of one of the fastest-evolving sports restaurant brands in the country.

As Brand & Social Marketing Specialist, you'll create the content our guests see every day, jump into timely sports and cultural conversations, bring new restaurant openings to life, and help shape how the Walk-On's brand shows up across every social channel. You'll work alongside our Senior Brand Marketing Manager to execute major brand campaigns while owning the always-on storytelling that keeps the brand relevant between campaigns.

Why This Role Matters

Great brands don't only advertise, they participate in culture. While our agency partners lead the creative development of major national campaigns such as March Madness and football season, this role ensures Walk-On's has an authentic, timely and engaging voice every day. Success means recognizing moments as they happen and turning them into content that builds community, conversation and guest affinity.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Brand Marketing Manager, the Brand & Social Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading Walk-On's day-to-day organic social presence while supporting national brand campaigns, franchise communications and new restaurant openings.

Role Allocation
  • 55% Social Content Creation & Community Management

  • 15% New Restaurant Opening Marketing
  • 5% Marketing Operations & Reporting
Primary Responsibilities
  • Own the day-to-day management of Walk-On's organic social media channels.
  • Create, write, publish and manage always-on social content.
  • Identify timely opportunities tied to sports, entertainment and culture.
  • Capture and edit mobile-first photo and video content.
  • Develop and maintain the organic social content calendar.
  • Partner with agency partners to amplify major campaigns while independently managing daily content.
  • Engage with the community and monitor conversations.
  • Measure content performance and recommend improvements.
Brand & Campaign Support
  • Support integrated national marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate franchise newsletters and brand communications.
  • Develop presentations, campaign recaps and marketing materials.
  • Partner with PR, media, creative and operations teams.

  • Experience with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Canva proficiency; CapCut or Adobe Express preferred.
  • Passion for sports, hospitality and popular culture.
Travel

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including occasional overnight travel, to support new restaurant openings, content creation, brand events and other marketing initiatives.

Success Measures
  • Consistent daily social presence.
  • Increased engagement, reach and video views.
  • Faster response to timely cultural moments.
  • Excellent execution of campaigns and NROs.
  • Positive collaboration with agencies and franchisees.
The Candidate We Want

We're looking for someone who naturally thinks, 'We should post that.' Someone who watches sports, follows trends, notices conversations before others do, and enjoys creating content that people want to share. This person is equally comfortable brainstorming a campaign idea, filming a quick Reel in a restaurant, writing copy for a franchise newsletter, or helping launch a new Walk-On's location. Curiosity, creativity and speed matter as much as marketing experience.
