We're seeking a creative, self-motivated, and driven social analyst to support our social listening and analytics function. This role is within an agency end client.

The Global Social Media team oversees dozens of social accounts across the world on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok, including the main end client brand handles.

In this role, you'll analyze data to support our social media strategy and business decisions. You'll work with teams inside and outside of the end client to track and analyze social media trends, measure our performance, and identify ways to better connect with key audiences. Your work will help us understand who we're reaching, how we're performing across different platforms, and provide insights to improve our social media efforts and strengthen the end client's reputation.

We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and skilled at turning social media data into useful insights. You should be comfortable using tools like Excel, Tableau, Sprinklr, and Brandwatch to track performance, spot trends, and deliver recommendations. In addition to analyzing data, you'll support social listening efforts—monitoring conversations happening about the client and surfacing opportunities to engage. You should have a strong understanding of social media and be able to combine data with good judgment to inform content and channel strategies. Success in this role requires strong communication, project management, and collaboration skills.

Key job responsibilities

  • Maintain measurement and reporting consistency for social media performance across 30 social accounts in nine countries across North America, Europe, and APAC
  • Conduct research and analysis to answer key business questions related to audience, content, or channel performance, identifying the data required for each project and leveraging existing research from partner teams
  • Support social media managers with data storytelling, helping prioritize metrics and surface insights from performance data
  • Execute social listening efforts to monitor and analyze audience conversations and key communications topics, e.g., generative AI, sustainability
  • Collaborate with other analytics, reporting, and research teams to implement best practices, apply benchmarks, and develop insights
  • Coordinate with the team's data agency and liaise with the organization's in-house operations and technology function
  • Apply resourcefulness and creativity to overcome obstacles and identify solutions

Minimum qualifications

  • 5 years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience supporting campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages
  • Experience with social listening programs and software (e.g., Brandwatch)
  • Experience analyzing social trends and data and translating them into actionable insights
  • Experience working with agencies
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

Preferred qualifications

  • Work experience with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
