Job description

TITLE: Brand Alliances Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Brand Alliances
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Brand Alliance Marketing

WHAT SETS YOU APART
Brand Alliances at Orlando City SC/Orlando Pride is seeking a hardworking, positive and passionate individual who wants to enhance their knowledge in corporate partnership marketing and corporate partnership development through practical experience in facilitating corporate events, gameday operations, lead generation and prospecting, asset tracking and inventory, contract fulfillment and overall account management. We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with great organizational skills, an unequaled willingness to learn by doing, and the ability to be an innovative problem solver.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review and comprehend Brand Alliance contracts, analyzing fulfillment needs and strategy.
  • Support the Brand Alliance Marketing team with account management, partner communication, and fulfillment of contractual obligations.
  • Track partner assets and performance.
  • Support Brand Alliances with graphic design needs for existing and prospective partners.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to plan and implement in-office/stadium events, gameday promotions, digital/social campaigns, and partner recaps.
  • Assist with prospecting new corporate sponsorship and media partnerships, developing customized proposals and sales presentations, and researching new partnership opportunities.
  • Gain exposure to Brand Alliances business development strategies, including deal structures, premium suite sales, fulfillment, and rate cards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Gameday and On-Site Event Responsibilities:
  • Support the sales staff on gameday with prospect and partner communication as needed.
  • Participate in Fan Zone operations, including pregame meetings and gameday responsibilities.
  • Professionally act as liaison between players and partners during off-site appearances and corporate events.
  • Support youth clinics, camps, and partner events by assisting with registration, guest flow, equipment setup, fulfillment of partner assets, and event breakdown.
  • Prepare and support gameday assets, including run of show, Fan Zone activations, gate giveaways, LED fulfillment, and other partner activations.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicants preferably should be working toward or recently graduated with an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis in Sports Marketing/Management or a related field.
  • Exceptional reliability, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Innovative, team-oriented individual who can identify opportunities and develop creative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work all Orlando City SC and Orlando Pride home games, as well as other corporate events throughout the year.
  • Preferred 6 months to 1 year of experience with a sports team/organization, athletic department, or similar field.
  • Experience and/or proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms.
  • A sense of humor is a must-be prepared to share your favorite joke during the interview!
  • Position will work up to 30 hours per week, including gamedays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and select events.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pass a background screening.
  • Ability to attain and maintain SafeSport certification.
  • Strong interest in soccer and sports is a plus.

About Orlando City SC & Orlando Pride:
In November 2013, Orlando City Soccer Club was awarded a Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise, becoming the league's 21st franchise. The team began play in March 2015, with 62,510 fans packing the then-Orlando Citrus Bowl for the Club's MLS debut.
The Lions have reached the postseason in five-consecutive seasons (2020-24), qualified for the Concacaf Champions Cup (formerly Concacaf Champions League) in both 2023 and 2024, and reached their first final in 2020 during the MLS is Back Tournament. In 2022, Orlando City won its first championship of its MLS era, lifting the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup trophy, which also marked the first championship by any professional team in the City Beautiful. Prior to its time in MLS, Orlando City boasted a decorated history in the United Soccer League, winning the league's championship in both the 2011 and 2013 seasons.
In October 2015, the Orlando Pride was announced as the 10th team in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), bringing professional women's soccer to the state of Florida for the first time. The team began play in April 2016, setting a then-league single-game attendance record in its first-ever home game, with 23,403 fans witnessing the Club's first win.
The Pride feature a star-studded roster of domestic and international talent and, in 2024, brought the first professional major league title to the city of Orlando, with the Club winning the NWSL Championship. The season saw the Pride complete the double, winning both the Championship and the NWSL Shield as the best team in the regular season, capping off a historic campaign that set numerous league records. Former Orlando City defender Seb Hines serves as the team's head coach, not only the first Black head coach in the league, but also the first to win both the Championship and the NWSL Shield, and the 2024 NWSL Coach of the Year.
In 2017, both teams moved into its privately-owned, soccer-specific venue - Inter&Co Stadium - located in the heart of downtown Orlando.
In July 2021, the Club - which includes Orlando City SC, the Orlando Pride, Orlando City B (MLS NEXT Pro) and Inter&Co Stadium - was purchased by the Wilf Family, who also own the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League.
