As a soccer coach, you teach players how to play soccer, be part of a team, and train their bodies to be healthy and strong. You may work with adult players or youths as young as six years old, sometimes younger. Your job duties include devising and implementing training plans, running soccer practices, and helping your team strategize how to play against opposing teams. You can find soccer coach jobs in local grassroots soccer organizations, private soccer clubs, middle schools, high schools, universities, and professional leagues.

What does a soccer coach do?

A soccer coach is responsible for training and developing players' skills, creating game strategies, and managing the team during practices and matches. They organize drills, teach tactics, and motivate players to improve both individually and as a team. Soccer coaches also handle team selection, oversee player fitness, and often communicate with parents, club officials, or school administrators to ensure a positive and productive environment.
