Position Summary
This position will serve as an Associate Clinical Research Coordinator within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Urogynecology. The Associate Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the execution of clinical research protocols, including leading efforts in gathering, compiling, and reporting data for a variety of research studies.
This is a time-limited position with an estimated duration of 2 years, with potential for an extension. This is an in-person position at the UNC Urogynecology office in Raleigh. Ability to work in Raleigh, with potential travel to other UNC Health campuses for study-related activities, is a requirement of this position.
This position is responsible for helping to support divisional research staff with the administration and management of multiple new and existing research projects in the Division of Urogynecology, which is located at the UNC Urogynecology office in Raleigh. 
The  Associate Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in recruitment, scheduling, visit conduct, data collection, data entry, and monitoring. This position will be familiar with IRB process and with clinical research situations. The position will communicate clearly and effectively with primary investigators (PI) and be familiar with medical terminology. The position will adhere to standards of proper study conduct in compliance with the FDA Code of Federal Regulations and Good Clinical Practice. The position will inform and help the PIs with issues that arise during study execution, aid with preparation for monitoring or audits, and help with the collection of study results.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
  • Knowledge of research principles such as GCP and FDA regulations.
  • Prior experience or knowledge relating to the field of urogynecology. 
  • Experience with industry-sponsored, federally funded, PI initiated, or pilot studies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Required Licenses/Certifications Special Physical/Mental Requirements
  • Availability for variable work schedules. 
  • Ability to work in Raleigh, with potential travel to other UNC Health campuses for study-related activities.
