Soap MakerDo you love working with color, fragrance, and love to be creative? Are you someone who enjoys making things by hand and seeing the results of your work come to life? Join Buff City Soap and become part of a team that creates fresh, handmade bath and body products from scratch every day.
As a Soap Maker, you'll learn the art of soap making, blending vibrant colors, unique fragrances, and skin-loving ingredients into products our guests love. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that combines creativity, production, and guest service. (Must be 18 Years or Older)
What You'll Do:
  • Create handmade soaps and bath products from scratch using the cold process soap-making method while accurately following recipes and production procedures.
  • Mix colors, fragrances, and ingredients to create high-quality products.
  • Serve as both a Soap Maker and Makery Associate by engaging with guests, answering questions, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of all products we make and sell to confidently educate guests and make product recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work closely with a fun, energetic team in a fast-paced retail and production setting.
Important Safety & Physical Requirements:
  • This is a labor-intensive position requiring standing, walking, lifting, and constant movement throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repetitively throughout a shift.
  • Must be comfortable working around strong fragrances and scents.
  • Cold process soap making involves working with lye (sodium hydroxide), a caustic chemical essential to soap production.
  • Comprehensive training is provided, and all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is supplied and must be worn during production activities.
