Marketing Analytics Specialist
Role Summary
The Marketing Analytics Specialist is responsible for transforming marketing data into actionable insights that improve campaign performance, pipeline visibility, and strategic decision-making. This role partners closely with the Marketing Automation team, Digital Campaign Managers, Salesforce/IT teams, and business stakeholders to build dashboards, manage marketing data structures, and ensure high-quality reporting across platforms including Snowflake, Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, Datorama and Power BI.
This role combines hands-on analytics execution with strong data management, data quality, and stakeholder collaboration skills, supporting both day-to-day reporting and longer-term analytics maturity.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Analytics & Reporting
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards to support marketing performance reporting, including campaign performance, funnel metrics, lead lifecycle, attribution, and audience insights.
• Translate business questions into clear KPIs, metrics, and reporting views aligned to marketing and sales objectives.
• Perform analysis to identify trends, insights, optimization opportunities, and data-driven recommendations for campaigns and programs.
• Support executive, leadership, and operational reporting needs with accurate, timely, and well-documented dashboards and metrics.
Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud Support
• Create and maintain Data Extensions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to support audience segmentation, campaign analysis, and reporting needs.
• Support Salesforce Data Cloud use cases by contributing to data model alignment, calculated insights, and audience-related reporting requirements.
• Partner with Marketing Operations and IT to ensure data flows across Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Snowflake, and Power BI are accurate, timely, and analytics ready.
• Validate and troubleshoot data discrepancies across Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and downstream reporting outputs.
• Support documentation of data structures, field definitions, metric logic, and audience-related attributes to ensure consistency across platforms and reports.
Data Quality & Governance
• Contribute to marketing data governance efforts by helping define standardized metrics, naming conventions, and reporting best practices.
• Monitor data quality and flag issues related to completeness, accuracy, or consistency.
• Partner with stakeholders to improve data hygiene and reporting reliability over time.
Collaboration & Enablement
• Work closely with Campaign Managers, Marketing Operations, Marketing Communication, and Analytics teams to align reporting with business needs.
• Support training and enablement by explaining dashboards, metrics, and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide ad hoc analysis for campaigns, pilots, and strategic initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Analytics, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytics role.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI and Datorama, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard creation.
• Experience working with Salesforce CRM data (Leads, Contacts, Campaigns, Opportunities).
• Experience creating or managing Data Extensions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platforms.
• Strong SQL or data manipulation skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting enterprise marketing organizations or a Center of Excellence model.
• Familiarity with lead lifecycle reporting, funnel metrics, and campaign performance measurement.
• Experience working with Salesforce Data Cloud concepts such as unified profiles, calculated insights, or audience data (hands-on or analytical support).
• Experience working with multiple data sources and integrating them into a centralized reporting layer.
• Exposure to marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, or similar.
• Experience with data governance, metric standardization, or analytics documentation efforts.
