Job description

Snelling is seeking a Bilingual Claims Clerk II to provide administrative and clerical support within a busy Claims Department. This position will assist with workers’ compensation claims, communicate with members regarding claims reporting, maintain accurate records, and support the Claims Department with daily administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with members in both languages.

Pay: $17.50-$18.90

Shift:1sy shift, Monday-Friday

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process First Reports of Injury with minimal supervision.
  • Make initial contact with members to gather information and assess the nature of claims.
  • Communicate with members in English and Spanish regarding the claims reporting process.
  • Verify coverage and establish new claims in the appropriate system.
  • Respond professionally and courteously to questions from members.
  • Review and process monthly prescription and service fees related to claims adjudication.
  • Assist with check-run processing, including reviewing reports, processing checks, and analyzing data for accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records.
  • Enter and update claim information in computer systems.
  • Assist Claims Department staff and management with administrative needs.
  • Review documents and reports for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive claims and member information.
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
  • Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish – REQUIRED.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 6 months of administrative or clerical experience preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Professional and courteous communication style.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced work environment.
