Job description

SNELLING is currently recruiting a Patient Services Representative for a medical company in the Tyler area with a pay rate of $15.00/hr. It is a Full-Time In person position in a professional office setting. Schedule is Monday- Thursday 7:30 AM - 4:45 PM, and Friday 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Occasional variation based on clinic needs).

This Patient Services Representative position will be temp-to-hire, meaning that while SNELLING would work with you through the consideration and interview process and Snelling would be your employer for a probationary period upon an offer being accepted. The position is responsible for professionally greeting patients and visitors who enter the clinic and help control the overall flow of their visit from the beginning to the end in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain provider schedules so we can provide a high-level of care and services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Check-In/Out: Greet patients, update EHR demographics, scan IDs and insurance cards, and collect copays and balances.
  • Maintain provider calendars, answer the phones appropriately routing the caller to the correct person, schedule follow-ups, and process internal/external referrals.
  • Prepare daily patient questionnaires (PHQ-9, PAM), answer calls, page providers, and execute end-of-day closeout procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years in a clinic, medical office, or hospital preferred.
  • Knowledge of EHR systems, medical terminology, HIPAA/OSHA compliance, and office equipment operation.
  • Excellent communication, strong organization, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
