Summary of Job Duties:The SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring all aspects of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment & Training (SNAP E&T) program. The Coordinator works collaboratively with Arkansas Adult Education SNAP E&T Program Advisor, the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS), Adult Education staff, workforce partners, employers, and community organizations to provide educational, training, and supportive services that assist SNAP participants in obtaining employment leading to self-sufficiency.
The Coordinator ensures compliance with all federal, state, institutional, and grant requirements while maintaining accurate records, participant documentation, fiscal accountability, and performance outcomes.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Coordinate the daily operation of the SNAP E&T program.
-Ensure compliance with USDA, Arkansas DHS, Adult Education, and institutional policies and procedures.
-Develop and implement annual SNAP E&T work plans.
-Monitor participant eligibility and enrollment.
-Maintain required program documentation and records.
-Prepare required reports and performance data.
-Ensure confidentiality of participant records.
-Conduct intake interviews and assessments.
-Develop Individual Employment Plans (IEPs).
-Assist participants in establishing education and career goals.
-Provide ongoing case management.
-Monitor attendance and participant progress.
-Conduct follow-up after program completion.
-Connect participants with community resources and supportive services.
Along with daily services such as:
Greet and guide new clients into the center and answering questions related to
AE services
.Adhere to state and program deadlines
Checking in students and visitors to the center
Answer phones and direct to correct department
Answer questions correctly about AE classes, schedule and policies
Performing recruitment and retention activities
Maintaining an accurate call log
Prepare for meetings and events on-site
Assist with classroom functions as needed
Recruitment of students
Attend all mandated state meetings and trainings
Participate in faculty & staff professional development
Qualifications:

The minimum qualification is a bachelor's degree is preferred.
