Carrollton, TX • Hybrid

Full-time

Job description

Overview

DC International is a vertically integrated ecommerce company with a simple mission: make products that last and feel personal. We’re home to industry-leading, digitally native brands Coverstore and Leatherology.

The Email & SMS Marketing Strategist develops and executes the strategy behind our promotional, triggered, and transactional email & SMS programs—ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent communications across both brands. This role helps shape customer retention and lifecycle marketing efforts, contributes to channel performance reporting and growth, and troubleshoots issues as they arise.

This is a hybrid position working 3 days a week in the Carrollton, TX office.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop Channel Strategy: Translate business goals into actionable email and SMS strategies. Manage the setup and implementation of all campaigns and automated programs—marketing, triggered, and transactional—ensuring timely, accurate launches that serve a clear purpose.
  • Uncover Insights & Opportunities: Assist with weekly and monthly campaign planning, identifying trends across programs and synthesizing data into opportunities and roadmap recommendations.
  • Design Lifecycle & Contact Journeys: Develop contact strategies across email, SMS, and push-defining the sequencing, segmentation, and personalization for each journey, including marketing, triggered, and transactional touchpoints.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with marketing, design, and tech teams to update templates per best practices and brand standards, and to ensure strategy is clearly understood and effectively executed during the build phase.
  • Measure & Optimize Performance: Own the testing roadmap and track how channel performance impacts business outcomes. Monitor deliverability and list hygiene for optimal inbox placement, and maintain compliance across the legal landscape (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Analytics or related field
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with CRM, marketing automation, ESPs and web analytics platforms (Klaviyo, Triple Whale, Shopify and Google Analytics a plus)
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Basic knowledge of HTML a plus
  • Knowledge of email & SMS marketing best practices
  • Solid understanding of other digital marketing strategies a plus
  • Previous experience or interest in retail and ecommerce industries
  • Certifications in email marketing a plus
  • Attention to detail and good proofreading skills
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and driven with a passion for retail and digital marketing
