Job description

Marketing Manager
The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, drive customer traffic, generate leads, and support revenue growth for Ganahl Lumber. This hands-on role leads both strategic brand initiatives and day-to-day marketing execution across digital, social, traditional, and in-store channels.
Key Responsibilities
  • Brand Strategy & Identity Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice, positioning, and visual identity across all marketing channels to strengthen brand reputation and customer loyalty.
  • Digital Marketing & Social Media
    • Manage and grow social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and others) by creating engaging, high-quality content and building relationships with followers.
    • Oversee website updates, Search Engine optimization (SEO), and paid digital advertising campaigns.
    • Plan, execute, and optimize email and SMS marketing campaigns.
    • Manage online business listings and presence (Google Business, Yelp, etc.).
    • Promote and coordinate in-store events and promotions.
  • Content & Creative Development
    • Oversee the creation of marketing materials including menus, flyers, posters, digital graphics, photography, and video content.
    • Coordinate with internal teams or external agencies to produce professional design assets.
    • Coordinate with supplier marketing teams and create cobranded marketing campaigns.
    • Develop compelling content that effectively communicates the Ganahl Lumber brand to both professional contractors and retail customers.
  • Campaign Management & Analytics
    • Design, implement, and track multi-channel marketing campaigns with a strong focus on ROI.
    • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics.
    • Monitor social media metrics and continuously optimize strategies for improved effectiveness.
  • Budget Management
    • Plan, allocate, and manage the marketing budget to ensure efficient spending and maximum return on investment.
    • Track and report on the performance and ROI of all campaigns, promotions, and events.
  • Collaboration & Team Leadership
    • Work closely with sales, product, and operations teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives and improve lead generation.
    • Respond professionally to customer reviews and social media comments.
  • Event Management
    • Develop and manage events to promote the Ganahl brand. Golf Tournaments, Sporting Events, AIA, customer appreciation, in-store promotions.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing, preferably in retail, building materials, or a related industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in social media platforms, SEO, Google Analytics, email/SMS marketing tools, and CRM systems.
    • Strong understanding of digital advertising (Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.).
    • Experience with content creation and basic design tools is a plus.
  • Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage budgets, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Personal Attributes: Creative, strategic, analytical, and hands-on with strong attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
