Job description

Manager, CRM & Mobile Marketing

The Manager, CRM & Mobile Marketing is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and performance of the company's mobile marketing channels. This role will own the end-to-end mobile customer communication strategy across acquisition, lifecycle, promotional, and retention campaigns, ensuring a cohesive customer experience across SMS, Email, and future app channels. The ideal candidate is both strategic and analytical someone who understands how to drive incremental business impact through mobile messaging, while also balancing customer experience, message fatigue, and channel profitability. This role will partner closely with CRM, Loyalty, Ecommerce, Analytics, and Marketing Operations to optimize channel performance and customer engagement.

Mobile Channel Strategy & Execution

  • Own the strategy, planning, and execution of SMS marketing campaigns and automated lifecycle journeys
  • Develop and evolve the long-term mobile marketing roadmap, including future app push notification strategy
  • Concept and write compelling copy for all mobile touchpoints, ensuring brand voice consistency across SMS campaigns and lifecycle messaging
  • Partner closely with the Email Marketing Manager to ensure cohesive cross-channel messaging, cadence, and customer experience
  • Build audience and messaging strategies that support acquisition, conversion, retention, loyalty engagement, and reactivation goals
  • Identify opportunities to personalize messaging and improve customer relevance across lifecycle stages

Performance & Incrementality

  • Analyze mobile marketing performance and customer behavior trends to optimize engagement and revenue contribution
  • Partner with Analytics and CRM teams to evaluate channel incrementality and customer impact
  • Develop testing strategies to measure lift, saturation, conversion impact, and customer fatigue across channels
  • Make data-driven recommendations around send strategy, segmentation, and promotional effectiveness

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with CRM, Loyalty, Ecommerce, Creative, and Analytics teams to align mobile marketing initiatives with broader business objectives
  • Collaborate with technical and operations teams to support journey enhancements, audience builds, QA, and platform improvements
  • Support future mobile channel expansion, including app messaging and advanced personalization initiatives

Skills & Requirements :

  • Experience managing SMS platforms such as Attentive, Braze, Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar
  • Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, customer segmentation, and retention strategies
  • Experience analyzing campaign performance and translating data into actionable business recommendations
  • Familiarity with incrementality testing, holdout testing, attribution models, and customer behavior analysis preferred
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and operational execution abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with app push notification strategy or mobile app marketing is a plus

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle, or mobile marketing, with direct ownership of SMS marketing programs

The pay range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000/yr USD.
