Job description

Summary

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Hires and trains new employees.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned Team.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

The Business Operations Supervisor is responsible for delivering an exceptional experience to our customers, developing team members, and managing day-to-day operations. Our supervisors must deliver excellent results and achieve goals quarter after quarter, month after month, on all aspects of customer, people, and operations.

The ideal candidate has the technical acumen to be able to communicate effectively with internal teams, excellent time management abilities and is passionate about leading teams to achieve business operation targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.

Customer Communication/ Operation Health/ Employee Engagement % of Job 75%

  • Proactively mediate and resolve any customer concerns regarding operation deliveries and quality.
  • Present corrective and preventive actions to maintain superior service quality and continuous improvement.
  • Manage escalations quickly and effectively.
  • Aids department manager in the development of KPI goals and objectives for the department; recommends, implements and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations.
  • Aids other department supervisors to ensure smooth inter-department processes and procedures.
  • Ensures daily housekeeping along with workstation equipment layout, energy conservation is followed thoroughly.
  • Must be flexible with working hours and be available to work during other assigned events.
  • Help control expenses, including staffing, supplies, and services.
  • Represent SMS Infocomm in a professional and responsible manner when communicating with others both inside and outside the company.

Operations Efficiencies Cost Reduction % of Job 10%

  • Implements constant operation improvements and cost reduction programs to assist the company in making better merchandise flow decisions by conducting thorough analysis on key areas, which are causing product and delivery issues.
  • Builds and maintains a work environment that is positive and support by open feedback and two-way communication at all levels.

Team Leadership % of Job 15%

  • Empower and guide employees through challenging concerns, to make decisions in the customers best interest while also supporting companys mission.
  • Recruit, train, and develop operation team and employees ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of applicable experience with proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals in a production-focused industry, computer repair service experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong and proven experience leading technical repair or manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, technology driven environment with strong customer facing responsibilities.
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize multiple projects and adhere to business-critical deadlines.
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships acting as a well-respected, trusted partner with whom others want to work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish or Mandarin) speaking is a plus.

Working Conditions

Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
