A DUI can impact employment opportunities for jobs that require driving, such as delivery drivers, truck drivers, or transportation roles, as many employers conduct background checks and have strict policies regarding alcohol offenses. Additionally, roles in law enforcement, security, or positions requiring a commercial driver's license (CDL) may be difficult to obtain with a DUI on record, especially if the offense occurred recently or multiple times.
