Position Overview

Are you a self-starter who loves talking to people? You don't need previous automotive sales experience to succeed at Smith Ford—we will provide the training and support you need. We are looking for an ambitious Sales Consultant with strong drive, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Whether you come from customer service, retail, hospitality, or are looking to start a fresh career path, if you have the motivation to succeed and enjoy helping others, we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide customers through the car-buying process with honesty, transparency, and a high level of professionalism.

  • Actively listen to customer needs to help them select the right new Ford or quality pre-owned vehicle.

  • Perform vehicle walk-arounds and conduct test drives.

  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with buyers, following up to ensure customer satisfaction and generate repeat/referral business.

  • Learn and stay up-to-date on new Ford models, options, and vehicle technology.

  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and a professional personal appearance.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: No previous sales experience required! We will train the right candidate.

  • Driven & Self-Motivated: Strong work ethic with a desire to learn, grow, and achieve performance goals.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to build rapport easily, listen actively, and speak confidently with customers from all walks of life.

  • Positive Attitude: Upbeat, team-oriented, and dependable.
