Position Purpose:

Maintain and Control entire processes: Inventory Management, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Reporting, Logistics, Customer Support, Supplier Training, Supplier Support, and SAP Maintenance. Ensure that the SMI Suppliers and SMI parts are set to conform to SAP Guidelines. Regulate the entire process from purchase requisition to payment. Ensure that an accurate, seamless, controlled, and standardized process is in place. Work with Accounts Payable to resolve SMI payment issues, request quotes and lead-times. Analyze monthly backorder reports, coordinate and remove excess or obsolete SMI materials from the stockroom, and other related projects, etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Reorder Point (ROP)/Maximum Stock Level (MAX) updates
  • Lead-time updates
  • Manufacturing Part Number (MFG P/N) updates
  • Source list updates
  • Info record updates
  • Generate reports as needed for supplier audits, etc.
  • Follow up on expedites to ensure the supplier responds in a timely manner
  • Work zero balance reports with suppliers
  • Work ROP/MAX levels with suppliers
  • Perform parts transfers as needed or requested by supplier
  • Perform mass loads into SAP to update data as needed
  • Email traffic
  • Phone traffic
  • Special projects
  • Cross train in all areas on the total process and be able to fill in gaps as needed

Other Responsibilities:

  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be modified from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Qualification Standards Relating to Specific Education, Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills and abilities

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per On-Target Supplies & Logistics, Ltd. standards.
