Job description

Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper
$45,000 - $49,000

Location: Miamisburg, Ohio

Position Type: Part-Time (Flexible schedule, approx. 20-24 hours per week)

Position Summary:
The Part-Time Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and preparing general journal entries. The ideal candidate will be experienced in small business bookkeeping, organized, and comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and record all accounts payable transactions (vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, etc.)

  • Generate and send customer invoices; manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments

  • Prepare, post, and reconcile journal entries in the general ledger

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures

  • Communicate with vendors, clients, and team members regarding financial transactions as needed

  • Support the organization with other basic accounting functions as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus)

  • Proficiency with accounting software

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
