Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Senior Small Business Advocate in Falls Church, VA to support enterprise small business initiatives, outreach, subcontracting compliance, and proposal development. This role is critical in advancing GDIT's small business utilization goals, ensuring compliance with federal reporting requirements, and strengthening relationships with small business partners and government stakeholders.

The Senior Small Business Advocate will support the Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO) in maintaining GDIT's small business program, managing reporting obligations, and identifying capable small business partners to support business development and proposal efforts. Responsibilities will include outreach, subcontracting plan support, data collection, stakeholder engagement, and training.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for divisional small business utilization needs
  • Conduct targeted research and searches for viable small business partners using internal tools, external databases, networking, and government sources
  • Analyze small business capabilities and recommend teaming partners based on technical fit and past performance
  • Participate in industry days, conferences, trade shows, and government small business office meetings to identify potential partners
  • Assist in coordination logistics for GDIT small business events
  • Maintain understanding of relevant legislation, policy changes, and small business programs affecting GDIT
  • Respond to inquiries from small businesses and provide guidance on how to work with GDIT
  • Deliver basic training to internal stakeholders on small business tools and processes
  • Participate in internal working groups and, when assigned, lead small project teams
  • Collect and coordinate required data from Contracts, Procurement, and Program Management for preparation of ISR and SSR submissions within the SAM.gov SPR system
  • Aid in maintenance of reporting documents, files, correspondence, and other appropriate and applicable documents, databases, sharepoint sites, and corresponding logs
  • Support subcontracting plan administration, including analysis and review of goals and monitoring performance
  • Participate in proposal development by reviewing and editing small business participation plans and subcontracting plans

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your cyber expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Senior Small Business Advocate must have:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Role requirements:
    • Experience with proposal preparation
    • Active listener with excellent communication (written and oral) abilities
    • Selfstarter capable of managing workload independently while supporting cross-functional teams
    • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Knowledgeof the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and customer agency supplements
  • Location: This is a hybrid position working in our GDIT facility in Falls Church, VA. Must be comfortable working onsite (3) days a week.

The likely salary range for this position is $81,349 - $87,999. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
