primary functions:
Serve as primary point of contact for members and visitors. Must be personable and outgoing while maintaining a patient, positive, and professional demeanor. Accurately convey information regarding Credit Union products and services. Respond to member account inquiries and requests. Cross-sell or refer products and services based on needs identification. Respond to basic account inquiries. Maintain the integrity of all members’ records in a confidential manner.
responsibilities:
  • Promptly open branch at opening of business and properly secure doors at the close of business.
  • Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
  • Accurately log each visitor into the Visitor Log; issue and track visitor ID badge (if applicable)
  • Open accounts as needed and make effective cross-sell recommendations.
  • Assist members with all account maintenance issues including issuing cards, account changes, disputes, wires, and IRA transactions.
  • Process loans within current lending policy guidelines. Set up and disburse approved loans. Complete all other loan-related tasks as required and within established timeframes.
  • Maintain a professional and organized member lobby and technology area; update marketing materials as needed.
  • Perform a variety of duties related to all phases of teller work.
  • If applicable in branch: Gatekeeper of Safe Deposit boxes. Provide members with access as needed and properly maintain card records of box issuance, entry, and closure in accordance with federal regulation and credit union policy.
  • Assist and educate members with self-service and 24-hour Technology channels; process check orders and PIN changes; first line maintenance for Coin sorter (if applicable).
  • Comply with all federal regulations, credit union policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy and the USA Patriot Act.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with the Credit Union’s values, mission and vision.
  • Perform notary services and basic account maintenance as requested including address changes.
  • Perform other various duties as assigned.
minimum requirements:
  • High school graduate.
  • Experience in financial services with a record of providing excellent service.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Notary Public certification.
  • Strong computer skills with ability to quickly learn new processes/systems.
