Metro Paws Animal Hospital - Skillman | Dallas, TX

Metro Paws Animal Hospital - Skillman is hiring an Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing team in Dallas, Texas!
We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and compassionate veterinary technician who thrives in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment. Candidates should have experience with room technician duties, blood draws/venipuncture, patient care, and client communication. Surgical experience is preferred but not required.
This is a great opportunity for a veterinary technician looking to grow their career while working alongside a supportive and collaborative team focused on high-quality patient care.
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures 
  • Room appointments and obtain accurate patient histories 
  • Perform blood draws and collect laboratory samples 
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and provide nursing care 
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed 
  • Assist with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring when needed 
  • Educate pet owners on treatments and preventive care 
  • Maintain accurate medical records 
  • Support daily hospital operations and patient flow
  • Previous veterinary technician experience required 
     Experience with: 
    •  Room technician duties 
    •  Venipuncture/blood draws 
    •  Animal restraint and handling 
  • Surgical experience preferred, but not required 
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy animal hospital setting
