Senior CPA Tax Accountant

The Skillman Group is an established, full-service, mid-size certified public accounting firm with offices in Troy and Trenton, Michigan. We provide audit, tax, accounting and specialized solutions to a diverse client base. Skillman Group combines our professional competence with a strong concern for our client’s successes, generating new ideas to help them make progress toward their goals.

We are currently seeking motivated individuals that are career oriented self-starters with at minimum 5+ years of recent public accounting experience to lead tax accounting engagements for small to mid-size privately held businesses and high net worth individuals.

Working directly with an assigned client base, you will prepare individual, corporate, partnership and trust tax returns; complete compilation and review engagements, prepare financial statements; complete complex tax research and planning; develop and cultivate professional client relationships while learning their business, needs and expectations.

Qualifications:

  • CPA License
  • 5+ years of recent public accounting experience
  • 5+ years of tax experience, Broad and progressive experience including the preparation of complex tax returns culminating in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to prioritizes and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical and client service skills
