You may also perform routine maintenance on sharpening machines and keep detailed records of services provided. The work environment is usually fast-paced, especially during hockey season or before skating events, and you may collaborate with retail staff or equipment managers. Building good relationships with customers and consistently delivering high-quality sharpening are important aspects of the role.

Excellent customer service, time management, and communication skills help build client trust and ensure smooth daily operations. These skills are vital to guarantee precision sharpening, customer satisfaction, and a safe skating experience for users.
