Police Officer

Job Type: Seasonal
Pay Rate: $40 per hour

WHAT WE PROVIDE: 

This is a seasonal position at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, in San Antonio, TX. It features a competitive hourly rate of  $40 per hour,  with perks such as: Free entry to any Six Flags Park for all employees and a guest with each visit, additional complimentary tickets for friends and family, discounts on food and merchandise for all employees, flexible scheduling, Dayforce wallet, and bi-weekly pay. 


Responsibilities:

The Public Safety Department is currently seeking Police Officers. As a Police Officer you will aid in the day-to-day security and protection of all park guests, employees, vendors and property of Six Flags Fiesta Texas. You will do so by enforcing laws, company policies and the guest code of conduct; while patrolling on foot, bike or vehicle in guest and behind the scenes areas, parking lots and provide traffic control and respond to calls for assistance as needed.

HOW YOU WILL DO IT: 

  • Provides service, information and aid to the guests and team members of Six Flags Fiesta Texas
  • Protects life and property of guests and team members on Six Flags property
  • Prevents crime, suppresses disturbances, investigates criminal offenses, and arrest offenders
  • Responsible for enforcement of all criminal laws, Six Flags policies and code of conduct to ensure the safety, welfare, and   protection of guests and team members on our property
  • Directs traffic duties when directed and responds to calls for assistance when needed
  • Promotes a friendly environment throughout the performance of his/her duties
  • Directly works for the Public Safety Department Supervisor on duty

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience preferred.
  • Must meet all requirements for qualification as a certified peace officer in the State of Texas, and must have completed a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) approved police academy program
  • Must be employed full-time with a Texas Police Department or Agency
  • Must successfully complete all legal hiring, company and department training requirements within established timelines
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Current TCLEDDS license eligibility is mandatory 

OTHER NOTES: 

  • May perform other duties beyond scope of above as necessary to support the park as a whole
  • Reports to the Public Safety Department Leadership
