Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, self-directed Business Development Director to drive new business growth. This role is ideal for someone who has successfully sold digital agency services and understands how to navigate complex buying cycles, multiple stakeholders, and consultative sales conversations showcasing thought leadership, experience and measurable client success.

You will own the full sales process, from generating your own leads, working inbound company leads, and managing the process from prospecting through close, while collaborating closely with leadership, marketing, and delivery teams to shape winning solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and close new client opportunities for digital agency services
  • Lead consultative discovery conversations to understand client business goals and challenge
  • Develop and present tailored proposals and solution recommendations
  • Manage a full sales pipeline, accurately forecasting revenue and deal timelines
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing aligned with company goals

Client & Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with leadership and delivery teams to scope solutions and ensure smooth handoffs
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Spinutech’s service offerings and differentiators
  • Represent Spinutech professionally in sales meetings, presentations, and networking opportunities

Strategy & Growth

  • Contribute ideas to improve sales processes, positioning, and go-to-market strategy
  • Track market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging digital opportunities
  • Help refine ideal client profiles and target verticals

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience selling digital agency services, including one or more of: Digital marketing (SEO, paid media, content, CRO), Web design and development, Marketing automation / CRM (e.g., HubSpot), Digital strategy or consulting services
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience selling six-figure or high five-figure engagements
  • Strong discovery, presentation, and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agency background strongly preferred
  • Experience selling retainers and long-term engagements
  • Existing professional network that can be leveraged for new opportunities
