About Us:

GSR Construction Group is a fast-growing general contractor and restoration firm specializing in commercial renovations, adaptive reuse, and full-service restoration across Texas. From water and fire damage to mold remediation and large-loss catastrophic events, our restoration division delivers rapid response, quality execution, and exceptional client outcomes. Were seeking a proven operations leader to take the reins as our Restoration Operations Manager.

Position Summary:

The Restoration Operations Manager leads day-to-day restoration operationswater, fire, mold, asbestos, contents, and catastrophic eventsensuring every project is executed safely, efficiently, and to IICRC/OSHA standards. Youll own operational planning, field execution, client and carrier communication, and financial performance while leading project managers, crew leaders, and technicians. This role reports to the Vice President of Restoration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain the master schedule; allocate crews, equipment, and vehicles across active jobs
  • Coordinate permits, site access, and subcontractor mobilization
  • Conduct daily check-ins with PMs and supervisors; validate scope adherence, drying goals, containment integrity, and safety compliance
  • Approve change orders; resolve escalations, complaints, and site constraints
  • Enforce company SOPs and IICRC standards; drive OSHA-compliant practices, PPE usage, hazard communication, and documentation
  • Maintain proactive updates to property owners, adjusters, and TPA portals; manage expectations and Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • Monitor job costs, labor utilization, and equipment billing; support invoicing and AR follow-up
  • Train, coach, and performance-manage field teams; uphold culture, professionalism, and readiness the GSR way

Qualifications:

  • 35+ years of experience in restoration or construction operations management
  • IICRC WRT and/or ASD certification preferred; AMRT for mold remediation a plus
  • Strong scheduling, leadership, and communication skills with proven conflict resolution ability
  • Proficiency with restoration platforms (e.g., Xactimate, Encircle, DASH, or similar) and Microsoft 365
  • Valid drivers license; ability to respond to after-hours and catastrophic (CAT) events
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift 50 lbs+, climb, and work in confined spaces as required
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
