Location: Houston / Pasadena, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports To: Director of Operations

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead all aspects of a high-volume warehouse/transload operation. This position has full site responsibility and is accountable for safety, customer service, labor management, productivity, quality, staffing, and financial performance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on operational leader who can effectively manage the warehouse floor while maintaining strong customer relationships and delivering service and financial results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all daily warehouse, cross-dock, transload, and container processing operations.
  • Own overall site performance, customer service, safety, productivity, and financial results.
  • Develop staffing and labor plans based on forecasted and actual workload.
  • Monitor productivity, labor hours, overtime, CPU/transactional performance, and operational KPIs.
  • Manage site-level budget and P&L performance, including labor-to-revenue and margin.
  • Ensure customer SLAs, quality standards, and production requirements are consistently achieved.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for customer leadership.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Supervisors, Leads, and hourly associates.
  • Maintain compliance with company, customer, OSHA, and safety requirements.
  • Identify operational constraints and implement continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely operational, productivity, staffing, and customer reporting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, cross-dock, or transload experience.
  • 3+ years of operations leadership experience.
  • Proven experience leading supervisors and large hourly teams.
  • Strong labor planning, productivity, KPI, and cost-management skills.
  • Experience with P&L, budgeting, CPU/transactional operations, or financial performance management preferred.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, WMS, and operational reporting.
  • Port, container, drayage, cross-dock, or transload experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent operational leadership experience.
