Role: Operations Manager - Superintendent (Construction Services) - Travel required

The Operations Manager - Superintendent serves as a key delivery leader within Construction Services, responsible for the setup, execution, and oversight of multiple client project sites. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high quality delivery aligned with contractual and operational expectations while driving consistency and performance across all active sites. The Operations Manager - Superintendent provides leadership and direction to field leadership roles, such as foremen or leads, and is accountable for optimizing operational execution, cost efficiency and overall delivery outcomes.

The Operations Manager - Superintendent partners closely with Business Development and clients throughout presale and post award phases to design site execution strategies, mobilize projects, and lead ongoing operations. The position plays a critical role in building and scaling Aerotek Services' Construction capabilities across multiple locations, partnering with senior practice and business development leaders to support growth, strengthen client relationships, and deliver operational excellence

Essential Functions:

  • Project Execution & Site Operations
  • Lead project implementation across the full lifecycle, including mobilization, site set up, workforce planning, operational readiness, execution, and project closeout and debrief.
  • Oversee execution of multiple concurrent project sites, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
  • Develop and manage project plans, resource allocation, and site level execution strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain delivery timelines and financial targets.
  • Review and support Change Order Requests, scope adjustments, and project documentation.
  • Provide direction and oversight to onsite Foremen managing day to day field operations.
  • Ensure consistent execution standards across multiple sites and teams.
  • Address onsite issues, escalations, and operational challenges in a timely and professional manner.
  • Client Delivery & Workforce Leadership
  • Partner with clients, Project Managers and internal stakeholders to define project requirements and execution strategies.
  • Serve as a primary delivery contact for site operations, providing regular updates on progress risks, and performance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across project teams and leadership levels.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of Foreman and project teams.
  • Coach and develop Foremen to drive productivity, accountability and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with contractual obligations, customer expectations, and Aerotek's Services Management Framework.
  • Operational Excellence, Safety and Business Support
  • Drive site level efficiency improvements, cost optimization, and process standardization.
  • Conduct site assessments, audits, and project health reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to improve labor utilization, workflows, and overall site performance.
  • Ensure all sites operate in compliance with safety standards, client requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Conduct routine safety and quality inspections and enforce corrective actions as needed.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, reporting, and site records.
  • Partner with Business Development teams to support solution design, site assessments, and project planning during the sales process.
  • Provide input on labor equipment, and operational considerations to support accurate scoping and estimating.
  • Partner with the Practice Executive and internal stakeholders to contribute field expertise in developing client solutions and execution strategies across industry verticals.
  • Support development of Statements of Work (SOWs), resource plans, and delivery models in partnership with Practice and Business Development leaders.

Supervisory and Management Duties:

Executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Work Experience :

3+ years of proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or simialr role

Preferred expereince in management of multiple projects and teams in multiple locations

2+ years of experience in scheduling, budget management, project setup/implementation and resource management

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven written, oral and presentation skills and the ability to conduct meetings
  • Ability to effectively communicate and partner across globally distributed cross-functional teams and roles in virtual environment

Travel Requirement:

up to 90% of the time (nationwide project support)

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
