Company Description
Edwards Family Companies, manager of Emerald Site Services, Northern California's premier stormwater, erosion, and dust control contractor, is expanding their scope of services to include construction management under the Edwards Construction Management brand.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in the greater Sacramento area. The Land Development Manager will have extensive land development experience from inception to completion of a proposed project. Responsibilities will include bid management and purchasing of horizontal development services, preparing and managing the construction schedule, articulating overlooked needs for site developments, value engineering horizontal construction plans, managing a team of contractors, equipment and materials, and collaborating with horizontal construction and homebuilding developer teams on all aspects, stages and needs of the development process. The role requires managing people, equipment, materials, and timelines, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and maintaining quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet or exceed goals and objectives.
Requirements
Qualifications - Requirements
  • Proficiency in Site Development and Land Development processes, particularly with infill.
  • Knowledge of local city and county agency standards and processes.
  • Strong skills in budgeting and cost management for projects.
  • Complete understanding of the horizontal development and homebuilding process and collaboration with construction teams for both public and private homebuilders, and other industries.
  • Complete understanding of regulations related to land development.
  • Understanding of BOLD/SCIP/CFD documentation processes a plus.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Bluebeam.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in subdivision work.
  • Ability to interpret civil plans.
  • Change order negotiation.
  • Provide take-offs on scopes of work.
  • Clean DMV and meet background check requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, trade partners, inspectors and engineers.

Salary: $120,000 to $180,000
