We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Store Manager to lead our team at The UPS Store in the Creekbridge Plaza located in Salinas. As the Store Manager, you will be the heartbeat of the center, responsible for driving sales, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring every customer receives world-class service.
We are looking for a leader with a proven track record in retail management. Candidates with prior experience within The UPS Store network will be given significant preference.
Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations: Oversee all aspects of the store including opening/closing, inventory management, and maintaining a pristine, organized retail environment.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and schedule a team of associates. You will be responsible for coaching staff on service techniques, shipping regulations, and print services.
  • Customer Experience: Act as the primary point of escalation for complex customer needs, ensuring a "solutions-first" approach to shipping, packing, and printing.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the stores P&L, monitor labor costs, and implement strategies to hit monthly sales targets and KPIs.
  • Technical Expertise: Master the TUPSS Point of Sale (POS) system, shipping software, and professional print equipment (Fiery controllers, wide-format printers, etc.).
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Management Experience: Minimum of 23 years in a retail or hospitality management role (Required).
  • The UPS Store Experience: Prior experience as a TUPSS Manager or Senior Associate is a huge bonus and will put you at the top of our list.
  • Notary Public: Must be a commissioned Texas Notary Public (or be willing/eligible to become one within 90 days of hire).
  • Physical Ability: Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with corporate clients and team members.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign/Illustrator) is a major advantage for our print business.
