Summary

Perform a variety of network maintenance, documentation, installation, and training tasks to support network engineers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Assist with documenting network infrastructure assets and generating reports as necessary

  • Participate in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of localized/on premise WAN, LAN, and WLAN network infrastructure

  • Assist engineers with the integration, implementation, and troubleshooting of projects involving local network services

  • Assist other team members in the troubleshooting and resolution of corporate IT issues

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Pursuing degree (Management/Computer Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering desired)

  • Basic understanding of operating system, application, network, and hardware installations and maintenance procedures and techniques

  • Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions

  • Learn and adopt best practices in network management

  • Innovation/creativity, managing/working with others, project/process management, accountability

  • Detail and customer service oriented

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving ability

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills

  • CompTIA Network+

  • Knowledge and experience supporting a Microsoft Windows network

  • Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, routers, layer 2/3 Switches and VLANs as well as wireless technologies

  • Troubleshooting skillset for LAN/WAN network and application issues

  • Knowledge of network services such as DNS, IPAM, (S)FTP, TFTP, LDAP, SMTP, and DHCP

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
