  • Harness & Interface Development:Fabricate complex, one-off wire harnesses and interface cables that connect aircraft hardware to simulation computers (PC-based architectures and I/O boards).
  • Prototyping & Design Support:Collaborate directly with AFRL (Air Force Research Laboratory) engineers to iterate on "breadboard" designs and rapid prototypes for new research initiatives.
  • Testing & Calibration:Conduct system-level "Power On" testing, signal tracing, and calibration of flight controls to ensure the simulator matches actual aircraft performance data.
  • Technical Documentation:Maintain accurate "as-built" redlines for electrical schematics and wiring diagrams within a controlled DoD lab environment.

  • 3+ of avionics or electronics fabrication, specifically supporting DoD programs or military flight systems.
  • Familiarity inMIL-SPECsoldering, crimping, and wire-routing standards (e.g., IPC-WHMA-A-620).
