McLaren Northern Michigan is a 202-bed regional referral center located in Petoskey along the Lake Michigan shoreline of Little Traverse Bay, serving residents in 22 counties across northern Lower Michigan and the eastern Upper Peninsula. More than 230 physicians represent nearly all medical and surgical specialties, enabling full-service care with an emphasis on cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, and neurosciences.
Join our ACR accredited Radiation Therapy team in providing an exceptional level of care through advanced high-quality treatment procedures such as SBRT, SRS, HDR, DIBH, Gating. As part of the Karmanos Cancer Network, we utilize Varian linear accelerators, Eclipse treatment planning with advanced features like RapidPlan, HapidArc, and Aria to record and verify on a common unified platform.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Administers radiation treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
• Maintains EMR and other documentation related to treatment simulation and delivery.
• Performs simulation procedures, as ordered by the radiation oncologist, for the purpose of treatment planning.
• Schedules simulation and treatment appointments; facilitates communication of scheduling with patient and staff.
• Actively involved in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement programs for radiation therapists.
• Performs other related duties as required and directed.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • Associate degree in radiation therapy.
  • Board certified in radiation therapy from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • BLS certification as healthcare provider or obtains within 6 months of employment as a radiation therapist.
  • Two years prior experience working as a radiation therapist.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
• Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy.
• Active member of the American Society of Radiation Therapists (ASRT
