As a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Simple Strokes Therapy Center in Orange, New Jersey, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients. Your expertise will be essential as you assess, evaluate, and develop targeted rehabilitation plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient. This role is integral to helping patients recover from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and manage chronic pain conditions.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Orange, New Jersey, where you will work closely with an experienced team of healthcare professionals. The work setting is designed to foster collaboration and communication, ensuring that all team members are aligned in delivering outstanding patient care. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured yet dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their functional abilities, limitations, and needs.
  • Design and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities aimed at reducing pain and improving mobility.
  • Work in tandem with physicians, occupational therapists, and other specialists to coordinate patient care and adjust treatment strategies based on patient progress.
  • Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises and pain management techniques while providing them with resources to maintain their wellness.
  • Document treatment progress meticulously and maintain records as per regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with all healthcare practices.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care services through collaborative discussions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will encounter a diverse array of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacements and ligament repairs, individuals managing chronic pain, and patients rehabilitating from sports-related injuries. Your ability to connect with patients of varying backgrounds and ages will be key to motivating them throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
  • Current and valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for patient interaction and teamwork.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
