In this role, the Flight Simulator Technician prepares the Simulation Training Equipment for daily operation, such as performing the visual alignment and the pre / post flight. Description
- Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems.
- Assist in diagnosing and correcting issues on simulators and associated simulator systems.
- Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
- Complete all designated training activities.
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight tasks on designated simulators.
- Perform basic visual alignments.
- Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
- Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
- Learn and comply with the CAE quality management system.
- Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
- Perform housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required.
- Perform logistics duties, including parts receiving, repair, testing, and validation.
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
- Perform tasks supporting the technical services group as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-year technical degree OR 4 years of experience in an electronic, avionic, or other technical field.
- Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
- Ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
- Proficiency operating test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator, logic analyzer).
- Knowledge of analog and digital theory.
- Computer literacy (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture).
- Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs.
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.
