Meet the Team
Silicon Labs' award-winning technologies are shaping the future of the Internet of Things. Our world-class engineering team creates products focused on performance, energy savings, connectivity and simplicity.
The Applications team at Silicon Labs is the critical link between our products and the end customer's success, and its primary function is to support our customer's rapid prototyping and development using our Bluetooth Low Energy and Bluetooth Channel Sounding. An Applications Engineer II is the product expert and utilizes this expertise to provide the customer with support, training and design collateral, such as application notes, design guides, hardware reference designs and evaluation hardware. An Applications Engineer II offers technical leadership to ensure that the Applications Team provides the right level of support for customers and for the internal engineering, marketing and sales teams.

Responsibilities
  • BLE technology area to support customers using Bluetooth Low Energy wireless stacks as well as Bluetooth Channel Sounding and Dynamic Multiprotocol solutions
  • Collaborate with software engineering and marketing teams on product evaluations and new product definitions
  • Participate in the product launch process by leading the applications team to create and maintain technical collateral (application notes, technical articles, code samples, training, etc.)
  • Prioritize with the marketing and field team and assign support to meet goals and objectives
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and direct supervision to global team members
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and training for applications engineers
  • Generate and deliver training material for Silicon Labs global sales and field marketing engineers

Skills You Will Need
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 4+ years of work experience in an applicable industry
  • Strong embedded C programming skills
  • Strong knowledge on some of common script languages, e.g. Shell scripting or Python
  • Experience working on Linux OS (BlueZ)
  • Experience with Zephyr or other RTOS-based solutions
  • Experience in Agile process
  • Experience with DevOps workflow
  • Basic understanding of some wireless technologies(Bluetooth, Wifi, Zigbee ..)
  • Experienced in the use of industry standard tools for customer support and team project management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with remote sites spanning multiple time zones

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $101,500 - $188,500 USD. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, equity package and a comprehensive benefits package.
