Meet the Team
The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) role is one of the most dynamic and rewarding opportunities for an enthusiastic engineer. It offers variety in day-to-day tasks and the chance to support top-tier customers in deploying our chips and software. FAEs gain early access to cutting-edge technologies and work on products before they reach the market.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and collaborate with sales to address customer needs.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, and assist with wireless solution design.
  • Troubleshoot wireless technology issues and communicate customer requirements to the Business Unit.
  • Host internal/external trainings and webinars.
  • Build relationships with key technology customers.
  • Prepare and present content to customers and internal teams.
  • Travel regularly within the region to support performance and engagement.
  • Maintain high standards in communication, conduct, and execution.
  • Analyze diverse issues and manage schedules and performance metrics.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Skills You Will Need

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Software, or related field, or equivalent training.
  • 5+ years in embedded design or 5+ years as a Field Applications Engineer.
  • Deep experience with Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, and 802.15.4.
  • Strong skills in problem-solving, communication, and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Embedded Software development, C programming, compilers, and IDEs.
  • Experience with MCU development (ADC, I2C, SPI, UART, Bootloaders).

The following qualifications will be considered a plus:

  • Experience with BLE, Zigbee, Thread, Z-Wave, LoRa, RF design, compliance testing, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi certification, Secure Element, Secure Boot, TCP-IP, Wi-Fi coexistence, Linux, and Python.
  • Strong understanding of IoT applications.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $120,750 - $224,250 USD. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, equity package and a comprehensive benefits package.
