Job Title: Senior Microsoft 365 Collaboration Platform Designer

Location: Washington, DC (100% Onsite)

Job Type: Contract (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Collaboration Platform Designer to support a large Federal program. This position is ideal for an experienced Microsoft 365 professional with a strong background in designing, administering, and supporting enterprise collaboration platforms, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Power Platform.

Responsibilities
  • Design, administer, and support Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft 365 Groups.
  • Build and maintain business solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Configure governance, permissions, retention policies, sensitivity labels, and collaboration lifecycle management.
  • Monitor platform health, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis while meeting SLA objectives.
  • Support SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 migration initiatives, including on-premises SharePoint to SharePoint Online and tenant-to-tenant migrations.
  • Develop automation solutions using Power Automate and PowerShell.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams to deliver scalable and secure collaboration solutions.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and analytics to support operational metrics and platform adoption.
  • Provide technical documentation, end-user support, and guidance on Microsoft 365 best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms in enterprise production environments.
  • Strong expertise with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Groups.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online migrations and Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 governance, permissions, lifecycle management, and collaboration best practices.
  • Experience with problem management, quality assurance, and SLA reporting.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs, Active Directory, and Single Sign-On.
  • Experience with ShareGate, AvePoint, Metalogix, or similar migration tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and information governance.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-700, PL-900, PL-100, PL-400, MS-102, or SC-400 are a plus.
